Learning Engineering Materials – Material Selection Methodology in Engineering Design

Course Description:

This course covers the fundamentals of engineering materials and their selection for engineering design. The importance of materials properties knowledge for design will be highlighted, then students will learn the Ashby Material Selection Methodology that is adopted by industrials as the golden standards and how to apply it in a real industrial case study through live demonstrations within GRANTA EduPack 2020.

This course is suitable for undergraduate students from Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science & Technology, Engineering Departments, and any other departments with a material interest in their curriculum. Junior Lecturers teaching relevant courses might also benefit.
